Goose Pond is located between the towns of Lee and Tyringham in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Springfield, Massachusetts, is 47 miles southeast, while Boston is 129 miles east.

The Albany International Airport is situated 56 miles northwest. The closest location for urgent care is the Fairview Hospital, 16 miles southwest in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

Lower Goose Pond

Goose Pond is divided into two basins: Upper and Lower. The lower pond is used primarily for summer homes and recreational watersports, like waterskiing, wakeboarding, and swimming.

The state-operated public boating ramp is located here, which serves car-top boats and trailered boats alike. Before you head out onto the water, make sure you grab your rod and reel!

Anglers on Lower Goose Pond can expect to catch trout, landlocked salmon, bass, sunfish, chain pickerel, or yellow perch.

Upper Goose Pond

The upper pond can be accessed via brook on the northern end of the lower pond. It is only accessible via canoe or kayak, but once you get there, it is breathtaking.

The pond and the land surrounding it are owned by a private trust that aims to preserve it in its natural state. When paddling through the area, you will see untouched woods, wetlands, as well as different mammals and insects.

Part of the land around the pond is the famed Appalachian Trail, which sees a lot of foot traffic as hikers make their way to Maine.
